Flash Samsung Galaxy devices using Odin Tool

Important Warning

Flashing Samsung firmware will wipe all data. Backup before proceeding.

What You'll Need

  • Samsung firmware (.tar or .tar.md5)
  • Odin Tool (latest)
  • Samsung USB Drivers
  • USB cable
  • 70%+ battery

Step-by-Step Process

1. Install Samsung USB Drivers

Download and install Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones. Restart PC after installation.

2. Boot into Download Mode

  • Power off device
  • Press Volume Down + Power
  • Press Volume Up when warning appears

3. Launch Odin & Connect

  • Run Odin3.exe as Administrator
  • Connect device via USB
  • ID:COM box turns blue (device detected)

4. Load Firmware Files

AP ButtonLoad AP .tar file
BL ButtonLoad BL .tar file
CP ButtonLoad CP .tar file
CSC ButtonLoad HOME_CSC (keeps data) or CSC (wipes)

5. Configure Options

  • ✅ Check: Auto Reboot, F. Reset Time
  • ❌ Uncheck: Re-partition (unless required)

6. Start Flashing

  1. Click Start button
  2. Wait 5–15 minutes
  3. Do NOT disconnect during process
  4. Wait for green "PASS!" message
  5. Device reboots automatically
Success: Green "PASS!" box appears, device vibrates and reboots

Common Errors

  • Device not detected: Reinstall drivers, try USB 2.0 port
  • FAIL! (Auth): Wrong firmware for your model
  • SW REV CHECK FAIL: Firmware too old (bootloader downgrade not allowed)
  • Stuck on logo: Flash again or factory reset via recovery
Pro Tip: Use HOME_CSC instead of CSC to keep your data intact
